The Edelbrock black water pump for 1969–1979 Pontiac 389–455 V8 engines is a high-flow replacement intended to prevent overheating in street rods, street machines, tow rigs and motorhomes. Its computer-designed internal passages and powdered-metal impeller produce strong flow and pressure while delivering nearly equal distribution to both sides of the block. The pump is a single-direction flow design and arrives in a black finish for a more finished appearance.
