The Fidanza aluminum flywheel for 1989–1996 Chevrolet Corvette 5.7L LT-1 replaces the stock flywheel with a lighter aluminum assembly to reduce rotating mass. The flywheel is offered with a heat-treated friction plate, replaceable hardened 1050 steel ring gear, and uses billet 6061-T6 or 2024-T4 aluminum body construction. Expect a substantially lower moment of inertia and quicker throttle response compared with stock.
