The SPEC aluminum flywheel with a steel center insert is a direct replacement for select 1998–2002 Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am, 1997–2004 Corvette and 2004–2006 GTO models. Combining an aluminum outer with a steel center insert reduces rotating mass compared with some stock units to sharpen throttle response while retaining a durable steel surface for clutch engagement. It is supplied to fit compatible transmissions and clutch systems.
