This ACL main bearing set fits 1983 and later Volkswagen four-cylinder engines in 1595, 1781, and 1984cc displacements. The kit includes six bearings with oil grooves and four without; the #4 journal uses oil grooves on both sides while the remaining grooved shells are on the block side only, per shell diagrams. Built to replace factory mains during a rebuild and restore correct lubrication on supported VW four-cylinder engines.
