The COMP Cams roller bearing cam button is a .795" thrust button designed to control camshaft endplay and prevent forward or backward movement, often required when converting to roller cams and lifters. It installs between the timing gear and timing cover and can be shimmed to achieve correct endplay on Chevrolet small-block engines covering 265–400 V8s and compatible V6 applications.
