The COMP Cams camshaft is a performance-oriented cam for big-block Chevrolet applications. It suits 396–427 c.i. engines and performs best with a 4000+ rpm stall converter and 11.0:1 or higher compression to deliver strong top-end power. Note: this cam is not compatible with 1965–1966 BBC 396 c.i.d. engines that have an oiling groove in the rear journal; contact the manufacturer for groove-style parts.
