The COMP Cams camshaft for 427+ c.i. engines is intended for heavier cars and performs best with a 3500+ rpm stall converter and roughly 10.0:1 or higher compression. It delivers a tuned powerband appropriate to larger-displacement big-block builds. Note: these cams may not fit 1965–1966 BBC 396 c.i.d. engines that have the rear-journal oiling groove; check fitment before ordering.
