The COMP Cams CS 274Xo-8 camshaft is built for tight 1/4–3/8 mile oval tracks and works with 327–358 cubic-inch small-blocks at approximately 9:1 compression, paired with a two-barrel carburetor and a good intake and exhaust system. It provides cam timing suited to short-track conditions where throttle response and usable midrange matter. Note: 1955–1957 SBCs with a rear-journal oiling groove require a groove-style cam and are not compatible with this part.
