The COMP Cams XR274 camshaft is optimized for SBC applications but will not fit 1955–57 models that require an oiling groove in the rear journal; contact us if that groove is needed. This cam is optimized for use with melanized or nitrided distributor gears and is not compatible with untreated cast or steel gears. It suits power touring with a rough idle and benefits from a 2500+ RPM stall converter.
