The COMP Cams CS 296C-R6 camshaft is a high-torque small-block Chevy cam specified for use with 1.6 or 1.65 intake rockers, offering robust low-end and midrange response. Intended for race-oriented big-inch engines where stronger torque is required. If fitting 1955–57 SBCs, note those models have a rear-journal oiling groove and these part-numbered cams may not fit. Use only melanized or nitrided distributor gears to preserve warranty eligibility.
