The COMP Cams CS 296D-R6 camshaft uses a .900" base circle and is profiled for 400–410 ci late-model engines running on 3/8–5/8 mile tracks. It offers the lift and duration suited to larger displacement packages in intermediate-length oval competition. The cam will not fit 1955–1957 small-block Chevrolets with the rear journal oiling groove unless you order the specific groove-version.
