This COMP Cams bronze distributor gear is machined from AMPCO-45 extruded aluminum bronze with 5% nickel, offering a high-strength tooth design that resists wear with steel roller cams and high-pressure oil pumps. It fits Pontiac V8 265–455 applications and accepts a 0.491" shaft diameter. The gear is specified for use when upgrading to a steel roller cam to prevent accelerated distributor gear wear.
