Their internal piston position prevents harmful pumping up at RPM and the unique design yields noticeable gains over standard hydraulic lifters. Adjustable valve trains and a .002"–.004" warm preload are required. Applications include AMC V8 and Chrysler small‑ and big‑block engines.
