The Cometic .054" MLX head gasket for Ford 2.3L EcoBoost is a multi-layer stopper-style gasket specified for 2016–2018 Ford Focus RS and 2020–2023 Mustang applications. MLX construction uses an integrated stopper layer to improve combustion sealing and clamp load without increasing bore distortion. The gasket features embossed outer layers coated with Viton and requires no sealants or re-torque per the MLX design.
