The COMP Cams hydraulic flat tappet lifter (CRB) covers Chrysler big‑block 383–440 and 426 HEMI applications from 1958–1967. It uses a patented orifice metering valve and a lightweight check valve disc to improve oil metering and response compared with conventional hydraulic lifters. This lifter is intended to deliver quicker response and better control at higher engine speeds where original hydraulic tappets were used.
