These COMP Cams High Energy hydraulic flat lifters use a patented orifice metering valve and a lightweight check valve disc to provide quicker response and improved performance. They maintain continuous contact between the metering valve and pushrod seat to prevent excessive oiling at high RPM. Applications include Ford 240–300 six‑cylinder and 231 V6, as well as small‑block and big‑block Ford engines where faster lifter response is beneficial.
