The J&L Oil Separator 3.0 base kit (clear anodized) removes oil vapors from crankcase vent air before they enter the intake. Constructed from billet aluminum, it employs a fine mesh stainless screen and an aluminum honeycomb stage to grow vapors into droplets that settle in the removable bottom. The tank holds roughly 3 oz, uses an O-ring seal to prevent leaks, and is intended to be drained about every 2,000–3,000 miles.
