Manley uses domestic 2618 alloy forgings with cam-and-barrel skirt profiles, tool-steel wrist pins and selective moly skirt coatings. The design includes strict ring land and groove tolerances and unique fixturing that allows skirt turning and ring-groove machining in one operation to enhance ring seal and longevity.
