This set contains twelve pairs of COMP Cams single-groove hardened steel valve locks sized for 3/8" stems, intended for Chrysler-style street engine rebuilds. The locks are recommended for lighter valve spring loads and provide multiple pairs for full cylinder head service. Proper installation requires a small gap between the two halves when placed on the stem so the retainer taper can form the collet effect for secure seating.
