These COMP Cams four-groove hardened steel valve locks are sized for 3/8" stems and supplied as a pair for Chrysler-style street rebuilds. They are intended for lighter valve spring loads and provide a secure temporary location for the retainer and spring until the retainer taper forms the collet effect. Confirm correct sizing on the stem: a small gap between halves when positioned indicates proper fit prior to final seating.
