This COMP Cams spring seat cup is a thin, hardened steel alloy lower seat sized 1.745 in × .570 in that protects the cylinder head and shim while locating the spring. COMP updated the design to offer an internal locating shoulder as well as the traditional cup style, giving installers the option to locate from either the inside or outside diameter for cleaner seating without excessive head machining.
