The COMP Cams spring seat cup 1.690 is a hardened locator designed to hold valve springs securely under high RPM and pressure. The 4708 locator measures 1.780" OD with a .640" ID and is specified for use with COMP springs 947, 948, 26082 and 26028. By providing a positive seating surface, it protects the head and shim while improving spring location and repeatability in demanding valvetrain setups.
