The COMP Cams spring seat locator cup is a hardened steel alloy valve spring seat that protects the cylinder head and shim while locating and holding the spring under high RPM and extreme spring pressures. Offered as an ID-style locator, it reduces head machining compared with older outside-retaining cups. Model 4708 measures 1.780" OD with a .640" ID and fits COMP springs 947, 948, 26082 and 26028.
