COMP Cams hardened ID spring locators use an inboard locating shoulder to center and hold valve springs in place under high RPM and extreme pressures. The 4774-style seat has a 1.625" OD and .570" ID and fits COMP Cams springs including 996, 998, 26099 and 991, providing consistent spring placement and protecting the head and shim compared with traditional cup retainers.
