The COMP Cams 4781 ID locator spring seat uses a hardened-steel shoulder to center the seat and hold the spring in place, protecting the head and shim under severe spring pressures and high RPM. This inboard locating design reduces the head machining older cup-style seats demanded. The 4781 is sized at 1.550" OD and .570" ID and pairs with a variety of COMP springs for specific valve applications.
