COMP Cams ID spring locator is a hardened steel inboard-shoulder seat that centers and secures valve springs while protecting the cylinder head and shim under high spring pressures and RPM. The 4785 locator measures 1.550" OD and .570" ID and is sized to work with COMP dual springs such as 917, 919 and 943, providing compact seating that reduces head machining versus older external cups.
