The COMP Cams ID spring locator seat is a hardened-steel inner-diameter valve spring seat that centers and secures the spring while protecting the cylinder head and shim under high spring pressures and elevated RPM. Its inboard locating shoulder holds the spring in place for stable valve-train operation; the 4863 size features a 1.300" outside diameter and a 0.570" inside diameter.
