The BD Diesel exhaust brake for 2004.5–2010 Duramax 6.6L with 4" exhaust is a variable regulating back‑pressure system engineered to improve downhill control and reduce service brake wear. It uses BD's Variable Orifice Technology, a rugged cast‑iron housing with AlumiBronze bushing and sealed piston ring, and a stainless steel butterfly shaft. Most kits include mounting hardware, control components and, where applicable, an air compressor.
