The BD Diesel exhaust brake for 3.0-inch exhaust systems is an air-actuated, remote-mount unit that applies BD’s Variable Orifice Technology to deliver up to 150 retarding horsepower across the RPM band. The kit includes an IP67-sealed air compressor, valve assembly, air tubing, adapter, toggle switch, regulator, control assembly and mounting hardware for straightforward installation. Cast-iron housing, alumibronze bushing, piston ring seals and a stainless steel butterfly shaft are specified to withstand high heat and corrosive conditions.
