Cometic's multi-layer steel (MLS) exhaust manifold gasket for Toyota Gen‑1/2 2JZ‑GTE applications uses three to five embossed stainless steel layers with AMP coatings. Outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton rubber rated to 250°C (482°F) for corrosion resistance and sealing under harsh conditions. An uncoated stainless shim layer controls thickness; MLS construction reduces clamp load, evens load distribution, and requires no sealants.
