Royal Purple Engine Break-In Oil is a conventional 10W-30 formula blended to provide critical wear protection for new engines during the ring and camshaft seating period. It uses refined mineral base stocks with an elevated zinc/phosphorus anti-wear package to protect valve trains, flat tappet cams and lifters during initial break-in. Recommended for a minimum 500–1,000 miles in street-driven gasoline engines, it can be used up to 2,500 miles before switching to a high-performance synthetic.
